- Stocking Up: How to Preserve the Foods you Grow Naturally, Carol Huppikng Stoner, editor - excellent handbook that includes some information on underground storage (root cellaring)
- Will It Freeze, Joan Hood - covers lots of foods that I never knew would freeze
